May The Road Rise Up To Meet You!

I'm loving this Basic Grey "Oliver" designer paper....perfect for masculine cards....I think most of us struggle with those! Stampin' Up's Not Quite Navy matches this designer paper perfectly. The Celtic poem is from the "May God Hold You" set from Our Daily Bread designs. I like to use this set when I want to give someone a good message without being too "churchy"! Know what I mean? Two of the panels were embossed with one of the new larger embossing folders by Cuttlebug, called "Clockworks". The embossed images and edges were distressed with chocolate ink, the corners punched with a SU Ticket Corner Punch. Added paper piercing and some pewter brads.....that about does it! No Glimmer Mist on this one!! :)

I used Gloria's awesome Sketch Tuesday Challenge from last week at Christian Paper Crafts....I may be late, but it was too good to pass up!!!

I've also used a few other challenges in the making of this card:

Robyn's Fun on Friday Challenge at Christian Paper Crafts: Distressing (using inks);
Frosted Designs: Distressing (using inks);
Artful Inkables: Sentiment and fancy corners;
Scrap Creations: Song Inspiration "May the road rise up to meet you";
Critter Challenges: Texture;
Incy Wincy: "Rock On" or anything musical;
Paper Sundaes: 2 of the recipe...I chose all four: ribbon, punches, embossing, and the color blue.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous weekend!!

  1. Hey Ang! Thanks for using my sketch and playing at Paper Sundaes this week! I love the card, naturally. I simply need to learn to do the faux stitching as neatly as you do! I always flub it up right at the end. And have to cover my flubs with a button or something. hee hee
