"For the Love of Family" Blog Hop!

Hi, everyone!  Welcome to the "For The Love of Family" Blog Hop, hosted by our fabulous Alumni Team and joined by some of my sister "Breadsticks" from Our Daily Bread designs!  Our theme this time around is FAMILY.  As you hop around to the participating blogs, you will see a wide variety of projects and stamp sets.....all focused on family!

If you have hopped here from Jan's lovely blog, you are in the right place.  If not, please head over to the ODBD Blog and start from the beginning (and check out all of the deets).....we don't want you to miss a thing.  You have until Wednesday, November 21st at 6 pm EST to complete the hop.  One blessed hopper will win a gift certificate to the Our Daily Bread designs store....yay!!

I chose to use the "Dad" set for my sample today.  I love the variety of stamps and scripture verses in this set, but my fave is the Happy Birthday sentiment.  I use this on most of the masculine birthday cards I make.....I really love the font used!

The general layout of my card is from the Sketch Challenge over at Operation Write Home. (Oops....I did it from memory, so the sketch is not exactly as it should be!)   I really love clean and simple sketches, which inspire me not to "over-do-it" on every card....only some of them! :) Also at Operation Write Home, this month's Our Daily Bread designs Challenge is to use a tool which you haven't used in a long time......I broke out my deckled scissors for this card....I can't remember the last time I had used them!
