ODBD August New Release Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs August New Release Blog Hop!!! If you haven't seen all of the New Releases yet, check out the New Release post on the ODBD blog! I have two projects to show today, so I will try not to ramble on so that you can hop on your way!! :)

This is a fun box I made using the new Pincushion single stamp cut out with the Pincushion custom cutting die, along with a sentiment from the Pincushion Tag Set. The instructions on how to make a gift box like this is HERE.
I have used the following challenges in the making of this box:
Our Daily Bread designs 'Shining The Light' Sketch Challenge;
The Ways To Use It Challenge at Splitcoast is 'Altered Ribbon'; and a few of the
Dare to Get Dirty Challenges this week at Splitcoast, for Fan Club members only, hosted by: Understandblue, juliemlacey, ChristineCreations, and debbiedee.

The Pincushion stamp was paper pieced with the same Basic Grey "Hello Luscious" designer paper as the squares and hearts. The pins and thimble were painted with silver Smooch paint.

'Ingredients' used:
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Pincushion' single and 'Pincushion Tag Set';
Cardstock: SU Kraft and Cherry Cobbler;
Designer Paper: Basic Grey 'Hello Luscious';
Ink: Stazon Timber Brown, SU Early Espresso, Cool Caribbean, and Old Olive;
Accessories: ODBD 'Pincushion' cutting die, Smooch pearlized paint, Zva Creative Pearls, 'Pearl' Glimmer Mist, EK Success Dotted Scallop border punch, Scor-pal, Scor-tape, SU Square Punch, CM Heart Punch, paper piercer and template;
Box size: 5 inches square by 2 inches deep.

The sentiment was stamped on May Arts Twill Ribbon with Timber Brown Stazon.

My second project is featuring a new stamp for the Garden Collection, called "Flower Border" (which is compatible with Spellbinders Labels 18 dies!), plus a sentiment from "Sewn With Love" from the Blessings Collection, along with the new ODBD Fence Border Die.
I have used some of the Dare To Get Dirty Challenges for the making of this card as well: Kittie747 and kharmagirl.

The "Flower border" was stamped an extra time, then sections were "fussy-cut" to use as embellishments on the sentiment panel, plus along the fence......these flowers remind me of Morning Glories and I have always loved to see them twirl and vine around everything!

Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Flower Border' and 'Sewn With Love';
Cardstock: SU Regal Rose and Whisper White;
Designer Paper: Prima 'Sparkling Spring';
Ink: Stazon Timber Brown, Ranger Antique Linen, SU Markers/blender pen/ink pads;
Accessories: ODBD Fence Die, May Arts Crocheted Lace, Offray Satin ribbon, Zva Creative pearls, 'Pearl' Glimmer Mist, Spellbinders Labels 18 dies, Paper piercer and template.
Size: 5-1/2 square.
