Happy One Year Anniversary to Our Daily Bread Designs!

Today is the big day!!! One year ago today, Kelley Holland's dream came true....to start Our Daily Bread Designs, her own stamp company with Christian-based stamps! What better way to share His message with others, but with hand-made cards and gifts which come straight from the heart! This company, and the friendship of Kelley and the entire design team, has been one of the greatest blessings of my life!

Thanks so much for stopping by for our first Blog Hop! If this is the first you've heard of the Blog Hop, and landed here by chance, there are "goodies" for you along the way! It's important to hit the blogs in the order of the Hop, which starts with Dina at Mama Dini's Stamperia. If you followed me here from Chris' blog, Twinkles Glow With Stamps, then you are in the right place! There is blog candy along the way and even I don't know where it is, so be sure to start at the beginning of the Hop so that you don't miss it!!

For a special grand prize, we are playing "Scripture Scramble"! Each blog has one or two words for you to collect, then put together to make a scripture verse (NIV edition). Once you've collected all of the words, send the verse in correct order, along with the scripture reference by EMAIL to our DT Coordinator, Judy Rozema, at lidaroseroz@gmail.com. Correct entries will be put into a hat and the Grand Prize winner will receive a set of their choosing from Our Daily Bread Designs AND a selection of cards made especially for this celebration by some of the Design Team members. Is that AWESOME, or what?! Entries must be received no later than Midnight CST on March 19th.

Here is my scripture scramble word: far

Speaking of scriptures, today is the release of two very special scripture sets: Design Team Scripture Collection 1 and Design Team Scripture Collection 2. Each of the Design Team members chose a verse that is special to them and Kelley made them into the special anniversary sets which are available to purchase today at ODBD! Buy both sets and save 10 %!!!

My card today is featuring the Scripture Collection 1; I chose to use Kelley's favorite verse. This gorgeous paper, "Brandywine" from Memory Box, the paper flowers, and green pearls are also available at the ODBD store.

Now, to finish the Blog Hop, you'll be visiting the ODBD BLOG. Good luck!!!

As if there wasn't enough excitement for today, this week's Card Positioning Systems sketch is sponsored by guess who?! Our Daily Bread Designs!

This card was one of the most fun cards I have ever made!!! The gorgeous pots and verse are from the ODBD set, "You Are The Potter". How did I do the background, you ask? I started by sketching the scene on a scratch paper, cut the scene in pieces for masking and reverse masking, and colored the watercolor paper with sponge daubers and ink pads....my fave technique! It was super easy and I love how it turned out! The "sun" and "ribbon" I found in the upholstery section at JoAnn's...what a fabulous find!!! The pots were colored with markers, clear embossed for a ceramic look, then hand-cut and punched greenery was added for flair.

Thanks sooooo much for stopping by today and for helping us celebrate our special day! God Bless!!!
