Super Sweet Birthday

Hi, everyone! I'm a bit late, but last week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast was Angela Maine aka Arizona Maine.....congrats, Angela!  I fell in love with this gorgeous card from her amazing gallery!  For my card, I used a rectangle reverse mask to sponge two corners with light yellow, then inked the strawberry image with markers.  Once I stamped the sentiment with black, I realized that the black looked out of place, so I matted the panel with black.  Here are the items from Divinity Designs LLC used for this card: Strawberries stamp set, Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies. Three yellow sequins and baker's twine were added for finishing touches.

Outstanding In His Field

Hi, everyone!  For this week's Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast, I flipped the layout on its side in order to create this punny birthday card for my brother.  Even though there are a few layers, it was very simple to make....one stamp set, one background stamp,  two ink pads, and a couple of dies.  Here are the items from Divinity Designs LLC which I used: 'Plough The Fields', 'Wood Background', and the following dies: Double Stitched Rectangles, Rectangles, Matting Rectangle, and the A2 Landscape Card Base with Layer.  Two green metallic dots were added to each side.

Stoneware Butterfly

Hi, everyone!  It's time for another Sketch Challenge over at SplitcoastStampers!  I definitely took some liberties on this one by using a butterfly instead of oval and a word die instead of a sentiment panel.  The angled panel was simply cut with a paper trimmer and matted in white since I didn't have any 'wonky' shaped dies.  Here are the items I used for my card: Stoneware Paper Pad, Butterfly Trio Dies, Hello Die, Matting Rectangle, and A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies.....all from Divinity Designs LLC.  There are also some sparkly yellow sequins that the camera did not feel like capturing! :)

Another Look At Divinity Designs LLC's August Release

Hi, everyone!  Today we are revisiting the August releases from Divinity Designs LLC....check out the entire release plus another round of awesome designer samples.....HERE!

Below are the items featured in my sample for today:

For my card, I began by cutting the card base with the 'Accordion Fold with Layers' set.  The layers were cut from the 'Cool and Casual' Paper Pad.  I used all but one stamp from the 'King of the Road' stamp set to decorate the 'Belly Band' and the accordion card.  I used the Wood Background stamp with kraft ink on white cardstock for all of the die cut pieces,  stamped with a dark red, then sponged with kraft and caramel. Here are the additional dies used:  Double Stitched Ovals, Ovals, Double Stitched Circles, Circles, Double Stitched Squares, Squares, Sentiment Strips with Layers (April Blessings Box), and Belly Band.

This view shows the inside layers.  I love all of the cool sentiment stamps from this set!!

Birthday Butterflies - Slimline Sized

Hi, everyone! It's time for another new Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast!  For my card, I started by cutting out the card base with the Slimline Card Base Die by Divinity Designs LLC and layers with the Slimline Rectangles Dies and Slimline Layering Rectangles Dies.  The light aqua layer was dry embossed with the 'Circles' Mixed Media Stencil.  The three triangles were cut by hand from the Geometric Paper Collection - Slimline Sized by following the lines in the paper design then matted onto white.  The sentiment is from 'Shine Bright' and the 'Butterfly Trio' Dies were cut from the same aqua paper then sponged to highlight the details. Matching baker's twine and sparkly sequins were added as finishing touches.

Appreciate The Journey

Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Kelly aka sunstamper....congrats, Kelly!!  I really loved these two dragonfly cards, so I chose them both for my case.  Instead of designer paper, I created a Wrinkle Free Distress panel with turquoise and purple inks for the background.  The dragonflies and sentiment are from the 'Friend to Friend' Stamp/Die Duos set by Divinity Designs LLC and the background panel was cut out with the Double Stitched Rectangles Dies. Matching baker's twine was added for a simple embellishment.  No foam tape was added since this is going in the mail for a friend's birthday.

Donut Worry, Be Happy!

Hi, everyone! It's time for another fun Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast!!!  When I first saw the sketch, I immediate thought of a donut, so I used the 'Sprinkled with Love' Stamp/Die Duos set by Divinity Designs LLC...I love this set because of the punny sentiments and delish matching designer paper, Sweet Shoppe Paper Collection!  The donut was stamped twice; the icing layer was fussy cut and sponged with red ink and paper pieced onto the 2nd which was cut out with the custom die.  The red layer was coated with a clear glaze pen, but the camera did not capture the shine.  The sentiment was cut out and matted with the Sentiment Strips with Layers Dies; other dies used were the Pierced Rectangles, Matting Rectangle, Pierced Circles, Circles, and A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer.  I was lucky to have baker's twine which matched the gingham paper.  This will go into my birthday stash.

Divinity Designs LLC August New Release

Hi, everyone!  Welcome to the August release party for Divinity Designs LLC!!!  Wow, it's another incredible release and I had a blast creating my samples for you today!  To see the entire new release, all of the designer samples, plus info on how to win some goodies, head over to the Divinity Designs LLC Blog.

Here are all of the products used in my two samples for today's post:

For my first card, I used the following items: Birthday Blooms Stamp/Die Duos, Butterfly Trio Dies, Blessings Border Die, Slimline Flower Petal Background Die, Slimline Scalloped Rectangles Dies, Slimline Rectangles Dies, and the Slimline Card Base Die.  On the white layer, the same flower stamps were stamped in yellow, then the Flower Petal Background was popped up with foam tape over it.  The flowers were stamped in aqua, shaped with a stylus, then layered.  Yellow sequins were used for the flower centers and to embellish the card.

For my next card, I used one of the two awesome new lighthouse sets.  This one is called 'Be The Light'.  First, the gray card base was cut with the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies; the indigo panel was stamped with matching ink with the Fishing Net Background stamp, then the Floating Frame Front Die set was used to cut out the openings in both the panel and the card base.  The inside image panel was cut out with the Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, stamped with 'Be The Light', colored with sponges using masking, layered onto another Fishing Net panel, then layered onto the 'Matting Rectangle'. Gray baker's twine was added for a simple embellishment.

This is the inside view:

On Wednesday, I shared this Sneak Peek card below which features the 'Shine Bright' set.  For more information on this particular card, please click HERE.
