For my card sample today, I have used the mountain image from the "Keep Climbing" set, along with a quote from the "Quote Collection 2" set to create a masculine birthday card.  The inspiration for my design comes from this beautiful card on SCS.  The Spellbinders "Nested Maple Leaves" largest die was cut and embossed twice on white cardstock.  One of the two die cuts was trimmed by hand along the embossed line....the mountain image was stamped on this.  I tried stamping the image with the paper still inside the die, but the stamp would not imprint clean enough next to the edge of the die.  I could have used a lot of extra sponging to hide this fact, but I decided to do it the hard way to get the look I was after.  Once it was colored and sponged, it was adhered to the white mat and popped up onto the card with foam tape.

This is breathtaking! I love the use of a different die cut to accent the photo like design of the mountains. The colors are perfect and the white was worth the extra work - it "pops" the art right off the card. It would be great to do as a magnet to keep afterwards! Beautiful!!!!
