Operation Write Home Holiday Challenge Cards!

Hi everyone! Still working on the Operation Write Home challenges from the weekend! It seems that I'm usually out of town for the "stamping holidays", like World Scrapbooking Day or World Card-making Day, etc., so it's been fun to be a part of an event like this, especially when our troops will be blessed by it!
Our Daily Bread designs "Angel" Designer Angie Crockett
Both of these cards today are for Sybrina's challenge, which is to create a holiday card for one of our Heroes, plus create a holiday card which can be mailed home to a child.
I will also be submitting this to the Crafty Cardmakers "Winged Things" Challenge and the Aud Sentiments Christmas Challenge.

Card 'Ingredients' for the Angel card:
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Angel';
Cardstock: Stampin Up Mellow Moss;
Designer Paper: Memory Box 'Mistletoe';
Ink: Stazon Jet Black, Stampin Up Inks and Markers (the angel's gown was colored with a sponge dauber and burgundy ink);
Accessories: Zva Creative Pearls, paper piercer and template;
Size: A2.
Our Daily Bread designs "Warm Wishes" Designer Angie Crockett
 Since I don't have many stamps for children (other than dinosaurs and dump trucks!), I used the Our Daily Bread designs "Warm Wishes" set for this one. Even though Stickles are allowed, I know that the glitter can still rub off at times, so I decided to do a bit of sponging instead, and leave it plain.

Cardstock: Stampin Up Bashful Blue, Mellow Moss and Whisper White;
Ink: Stazon Jet Black, Stampin Up Markers and Bashful Blue ink pad for sponging and making clouds;

Before I go, just wanted to mention that Our Daily Bread designs is having a one day Labor Day Sale....check it out HERE!

Thanks so much for hanging out with me today! Have a very blessed week!!

Angella,

Your cards are so beautiful! Your coloring is exquisite -- and the border piercings are the perfect finishing touches.

Good luck with the challenges.

And, thanks so much for playing along with our Christmas is for Kids challenge. Glad you were home to join in this party!

Both of your cards are beautiful Angie. I love the Our daily bread images.I really like the background paper on your Angel card and the soft clouds on your second card.
Did you know you could enter your cards into the Penny Black and More challenge "early xmas makes" this month.
There are several craft prizes up for grabs this and every month.
