A Light For My Path

If you are looking for the ODBD Thanksgiving Sale and a chance to win prizes, please scroll down one post or click HERE.

Happy Saturday, everyone! I am so excited to be playing in the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast again this week.....inspiration challenges are my favorites.....there are so many different ways to interpret an inspiration piece. I chose this gorgeous "Esquire" baby bedroom from the Glenna Jean store.....the colors, fabrics, and nautical theme led me to the "Light of the World" stamp set by Our Daily Bread designs and my new fave paper right now, Prima "Alla Prima"!

I love how designer paper patterns can make up part of the card design..... the rolling hillside element helped me to keep this very simple...yay!! The image panel was cut out with an ODBD Elegant Ovals die....while the cardstock was still in the die, I stamped the image, colored it with SU markers and sponge daubers (using masking). By leaving it in the die, I was able to keep the white border edge instead of having to cut an extra mat for it. I then used a die from Spellbinders Labels 18 for the mat behind the image panel.

Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Light of the World';
Cardstock: SU Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White;
Designer Paper: Prima 'Alla Prima';
Ink: Stazon Jet Black, SU markers and ink pads;
Accessories: Spellbinders Labels 18 and ODBD Elegant Ovals dies, May Arts Twill Ribbon, Gold Brads, paper piercer and template, sponge daubers, scratch paper for masking and sponging clouds;
Size: 5-1/2 x 5-1/2.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a very blessed weekend!!!!
