Burgundy and Sage Blessings!

Happy Saturday, everyone!!! Though I have lots of "work" to do, I decided that today would be all about play! My favorite kind of challenges are those with an inspiration piece to get the juices flowing....this week's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast is to choose an item from the Sally Meekins Ceramic Co. You should see all of the miniature ceramic pieces of art there...wow! I chose this beautiful Chrysanthemum Plate....I thought the burgundy and sage looked amazing together! This designer paper from Memory Box was a perfect fit and I grabbed some retired SU Sage Shadow cardstock out of my "forbidden stash" just for this card! :)

I cut out two "pendants" from the Spellbinders Lace Doily Motifs, then used a Square Nestabilities die to cut out the center of one of them. The sentiment from the ODBD set, Sacred Season, was stamped on another Square Nestabilities panel, then sponged with Sage, and adhered it to the bottom "pendant". The top section was popped up with foam tape so that the sentiment would be "inset", then I adhered two corner die cuts from the Lace Doily Accents die set for a little flair.

Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Sacred Season';
Cardstock: SU Sage Shadow, Bravo Burgundy, and Whisper White;
Designer Paper: Memory Box 'Mistletoe';
Ink: Stazon Jet Black and SU Sage Shadow;
Accessories: Spellbinders Lace Doily Motifs, Lace Doily Accents, Square Nestabilities, 'Pearl' Glimmer Mist, Zva Creative Pearls, paper piercer and template, sponge dauber, and foam tape;
Size: 5-1/2 x 5-1/2.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a very blessed weekend!!

Ooooh. . .the forbidden stash! :D It's a perfect match though and contrasts so beautifully with the burgundy and coordinates with that lovely DP. LOVE the intricate design of the lattice die and the soft shading and glimmer of the main sentiment! Lovely work! Blessings and hugs!

All of the designs in the newsletter are awesome, but I liked yours the best. You have some masculine type designs in your blog but a lot of them are delicate looking, feminine if you will. They are all so pretty.
