Another ODBD Sneak Peek!!!

Spring is so very close, I can hardly wait!!!! We had more ice and snow in Indiana yesterday, so I'm rebelling against the lingering winter by using some new spring-y sets from Our Daily Bread designs, which will be released on March 1st. The "Tulip Corner" stamp (which was stamped twice) and scripture from the "Tulip Tag Set" were stamped with Versamark, embossed with white embossing powder, then the background was colored with sponge daubers with Old Olive, Marigold Morning, and Pink Pirouette ink. Once the sponging was done, I took a rag and buffed the color from the surface of the white embossing....this technique is called "Emboss Resist". When you use a water based ink, it will not soak in to the embossed area...just wipe it off and voila!! To keep it clean and simple, I only added a small amount of May Arts Satin ribbon (bow was tied using a Bow Easy), and added a few Zva Creative Pearls.

Here is a close up of the scripture from the "Tulip Tag Set".....you can even see a hint of the "Pearl" Glimmer Mist, which is extremely camera shy!

I have used the following challenges in the making of this card:
Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast: I chose this gorgeous Lola Crib Bedding from the Serena & Lily store...the colors of pink, peach, and green really spoke to me!;
Paper Cutz: Spring;
Paper Play: Let's Get Sentimental;
Stamp Something: Something With Flowers;
Clean and Simple Challenge at Splitcoast: Make your own background;
Crazy 4 Challenges: Flowers;
One Stop Craft Challenge: Spring flowers.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!! Have a blessed weekend!!!!
