Vintage Roses

Inspiration challenges are my very favorite! Not only do I love to re-create part of the inspiration piece, but it's a blast to see others' creativity as well! This week's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast is to choose an item from the Plaid Pony Vintage shop......such a fun store to browse! So many of the clothes, jewelry, and housewares remind me of my late grandparents and great-grandparents....such bittersweet memories! I fell in love with this Vintage 3 Strand Rosette Necklace with rosebuds and pearls (photo below left).....it reminded me of Basic Grey Porcelain designer paper which I haven't used in quite some time!

I have also used the following challenges in the making of this card:
Gloria's Sketch Tuesday Challenge at Christian Paper Crafts (photo above);
Jen's Color Monday Challenge at Christian Paper Crafts: pinks and greens;
Daring Cardmakers: "We Three"...use three of something...I used three scallops, three panels, three papers...that's three of threes!!;
Get Sketchy: find inspiration in your house.....the photo above right is from my dining room;
Something Completely Different: Numbers....there are numbers in the scripture stamp;
AI Factory: Bring on the Bling;
Meljen's Designs: Sparkle, shine, foil, bling, etc....please see the close-up pic below to see the shimmer from the Glimmer Mist....boy, that stuff is hard to photograph!;
Fab & Funky Challenge: Forget Me Not.....I forgot about this Basic Grey Porcelain paper!;
Freshly Brewed Designs: Show Off Your Style....my fave creations are floral, frilly, with Zva Creative pearls and Glimmer Mist...and of course my fave scripture stamps from Our Daily Bread designs!;
Stampin' Royalty: Designer paper as focal.....check!;
Critter Challenges: Texture....used CB Polka dots embossing folder;
Paper Playtime: P.S. I love you.....I love these items used on this card: Scripture stamp, pearls, Glimmer Mist, floral paper, polka dots, colors......these are all some of my faves....plus I made this for my dear friend, Sally, who I love very much!

Card details:
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs' "Path Of LIfe"
Cardstock: Stampin' Up Always Artichoke and Pink Pirouette
Designer Paper: Basic Grey "Porcelain"
Accessories: "Pearl" Glimmer Mist, Zva Creative Pearls, Lace ribbon, Bow Easy, Spellbinders oval Nestabilities and Lacey Squares, paper piercer and template, Cuttlebug "Polka Dots" embossing folder.

Before I go, I wanted to let you all in on a little secret......Stampin' Up is giving away four prizes of "My Digital Studio" software......if you haven't seen it, wow are you missing out! Not only can you do digi-scrapbooking and card-making, but there are soooooo many cool things you can do with this program! I never dreamed I would be a digi-person, but if I win one of these babies, I soon will be!!!! Check out the details HERE on how to win!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a blessed weekend!!!

Beautiful cards and designs.
My favourite Christmas memory ...difficult question as many to choose from. One favourite, my Dad set up the card table in front of our beautifully decorated Christmas tree, and we had homemade meat pie followed by Christmas pudding or cookies (cookies were my choice as I don't like pudding). After, we would head off to church for the service where many Christmas hymns were sung -- my favourite, Silent Night
