Rest In The Shadow Of The Almighty

I'm really beginning to love doing more CAS style cards.....it's quite a relief not to have to spend 3 hours on each card! Since I had a plan mapped out for this one, it only took me a little over an hour...yay!!

I have used several challenges for this card: The Color Throwdown Challenge #100 is to use Real Red, Regal Rose, Baja Breeze, and Certainly Celery.....this "Que Sera" designer paper by K & Co. has every color in it....I love it!! The Stamp Something challenge is to use this recipe: 1 designer paper, 1 ribbon, and 1 image, plus any embellies you like. The Playdate Cafe challenge is to use the colors in this photo as your inspiration.....this Que Sera paper matches this perfectly!! The Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge is all about rest or peace....I instantly thought of this scripture verse from the Our Daily Bread designs' "Scripture Collection 2".....what a wonderful reminder! The sketch layout is from this week's Corrosive Challenge...out of all of the great sketches out there this week, this one really spoke to me!!!

Card details:
Stamps: ODBD "Scripture Collection 2"
Paper: Certainly Celery, Whisper White
Dsp: K & Co. "Que Sera"
Accessories: Bow Easy, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist, Hero Arts Pearls, May Arts Ribbon, Polka Dots CB EF, corner rounder, paper piercer and template, foam tape, sponge dauber.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! God Bless!!

Hi Angie~

What perfect paper for the challenge you described. I really like how the colors combine here. The celery really makes a lovely background! I love how you paper pierced everything! Again, it looks like leather to me. I really like how you scatterred the pearls to different areas. Of course, the verse is perfect. Aren't they all? Your fish is a great addition!

And, you accomplished all of this in half of your usual time?! Fabulous!

Traci S.
